
Rebecca “Loco” Baldassano
Assistant Camp Director & Girls Program Leader
Becca first attended Camp Hemlock in 2002 as a camper in the Wildflower program. She has been a part of the regular Wildflower program, the first L.A.C.E. in 2005, and then continued on as a Jr. Staff, Wildflower Adventure leader, Program Director and Assistant Director for a couple years starting in 2019. Camp has continued to call her back as she recently has served on the board of directors for camp. Becca holds a B.S. in Art Education from Towson University and a masters degree in art therapy from St. Mary’s College-of-the-Woods. Becca is a licensed graduate professional art therapist (LGPAT) and a licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC). She taught for 8 years in Montgomery County as a middle and elementary art teacher and now works as a child therapist at a private practice in Olney, MD. Becca, her husband Matt and their daughter Amelia love to be out at camp serving the families in God’s beautiful creation. They are all active at their home church Cedarbrook Community Church in Clarksburg, MD.

Ben Deibert
Adventure Program Director
Ben began his Camp Hemlock adventures as a camper during high school. He then went on to complete SALT and serve on staff for many summers. He has been a SALT Leader, Lifeguard, Health Assistant, Program Director, and Cabin Ranger, among other duties around camp. Ben loves serving at Camp Hemlock because it had such a huge impact on his own walk with the Lord. He has fond memories of climbing, hiking, paddling, and thoroughly enjoying God’s beautiful creation at and around Camp. Ben oversees the training and implementation of all elements of our Adventure Ropes Course. To balance out his love for all things outdoor, Ben holds an MS in Cloud Computing from UMUC, and a BS in Information Technology from Towson University. He currently works in DevOps (Computer System Development and Operations). His love for camp has transferred to his wife, Angie, and their two young kids, Catherine and Caleb. Ben attends Severna Park EP Church in Pasadena, MD.
Board of Directors
Camp Hemlock is a 501(c)3 non-profit. It is also under the leadership of an elected board of directors. The board meets the first Monday of the month in Columbia, MD. There are several committees including physical plant, communications & marketing, Wildflowers girls’ programs, CSB activities, personnel, outdoor activities & equipment, finance, program, and executive.
