Canoe Camps Description

Enjoy a few days of river living and adventure with your friends! Dads, come along and enjoy the river together with you son! Choose an adventure that fits your experience and skill level. Canoe adventures are limited in size to 4-8 campers, and will be tailored to the skills and interests of the group, and are subject to change due to weather conditions and/or water levels.

•Introduction, June 24-27, 2012
Open to boys ages 9-11 with Dads, boys 12-18 (Dad's welcome), and collegiates.
Campers will live in cabins and eat most meals in the camp dining hall while taking day trips to nearby rivers. They will learn the fundamentals of paddling and canoe life at a more relaxed pace. No prior experience required.

•Novice, June 27-30, 2012
canoe_trip Open to boys ages 12-18 (Dad's welcome), and collegiates.
Boys will be in camp for a short time, then venture out for overnight canoe adventures on nearby rivers such as the Potomac and Shanendoah rivers and Antietam Creek. No prior experience required.

•Intermediate, June 17-20 and 20-23, 2012
Open to boys ages 12-18 (Dad's welcome), and collegiates.
You will canoe down rivers such as Antietam Creek, the Shanendoah River, and the Potomac River around Harpers Ferry. Along the way you will learn to maneuver and even play in the river rapids, and experience wilderness camping at it's best. Campers should have prior experience in both river canoeing and wilderness camping.
